Hi! I’m Mira, a rising junior at USC studying Philosophy, Politics, and Law. I was born in Edmonton, Canada, and have since lived in Atlanta and Pasadena, experiences that sparked my curiosity about history, culture, and the stories that shape our world. My dad is an English teacher, so I’ve always had someone to share my love of reading with. He also made sure I never got away with a lazy interpretation of a book. When I met Professor Andrew Chater, I knew I wanted to take a class with him. It is rare to find someone whose passion for literature is so genuine and contagious, and I knew Bookpacking would be a special experience because of the way he brings these stories to life. The chance to not only read these classics but also walk the streets that inspired them with fellow students felt too good to pass up. There is something special about experiencing a story in the places that inspired it, and I cannot wait to explore Paris and London through the lens of these novels and make memories that will last long after the final page.
